Why the BANISH 9K and Echelon 4.5F Make a Perfect Match

These two pieces were practically made for each other. The BANISH 9K’s ultra-light 2.7-ounce weight and direct-thread design add almost zero bulk or imbalance to the Echelon’s already low-bore-axis frame. The pistol’s 4.5-inch barrel and captive recoil system cycle reliably with the added suppressor mass, while the Echelon’s optics-ready slide and excellent ergonomics keep the whole package controllable and fast on target. The result is a compact, balanced suppressed pistol that’s easy to carry, quick to deploy, and dramatically quieter than an unsuppressed setup. Whether you run it suppressed at the range or keep it ready at home, the combo feels like a single, purpose-built system rather than two separate parts slapped together.

Winchester Super Suppressed SUP9 Ammo – The Perfect Fuel for This Suppressed Duo

To complete the package, 500 rounds of Winchester Super Suppressed (SUP9) 9mm ammunition take the quiet performance to the next level. This 147-grain encapsulated full-metal-jacket subsonic load is purpose-built for suppressors. It leaves the muzzle at a gentle 990 fps, maximizing sound reduction with the Banish 9K while producing minimal flash and recoil. The fully encapsulated bullet design dramatically reduces lead and carbon fouling inside the suppressor, keeping the Banish 9K cleaner shot after shot. The Echelon’s reliable feeding geometry and 1:10 twist barrel stabilize these subsonic rounds beautifully, delivering consistent accuracy and soft-shooting performance. With 500 rounds included, the winner can get straight to the range and enjoy hundreds of quiet, clean, hearing-safe rounds right out of the box.

Who Benefits Most from the BANISH 9K Suppressor?

The BANISH 9K shines for shooters who want quiet without compromise. Especially those who prioritize concealed carry (CCW), self-defense, or a night-stand/home-defense gun. Its tiny 4.1-inch length and 2.7-ounce weight make it truly practical for everyday carry on a threaded-barrel pistol. In a defensive scenario, the dramatic sound reduction (down to ~132 dB) protects your hearing and reduces the risk of disorientation or family members being startled by a loud gunshot. The low flash and subsonic-friendly design (especially with SUP9 ammo) keep you stealthy at night. Range enthusiasts and plinkers love it too, because it turns a regular 9mm pistol into a backyard-friendly shooter that doesn’t require double hearing protection. If you value discretion, comfort, and real-world usability, the BANISH 9K is one of the smartest upgrades you can make.

The Silencer Central Form 4 2026 workflow, step by step

Silencer Central has spent 18 years simplifying ATF paperwork, and its published processruns from purchase to porch without the owner leaving home. Condensed from the company’s own eleven steps, the workflow looks like this:

  1. Purchase — or in this case, the Day 50 draw. The suppressor enters Silencer Central’s system.
  2. Profile. A link arrives by email; the buyer completes a secure customer profile.
  3. Fingerprints. Silencer Central mails fingerprint cards — with a free t-shirt in the box — and the buyer ships the cards back.
  4. Signatures. The paperwork is signed digitally through another emailed link.
  5. The call. A scheduled phone call reviews everything, then Silencer Central submits the eForm 4 to ATF.
  6. The 4473. The buyer completes the standard federal firearm-transfer form.
  7. CLEO notice. Silencer Central sends the required notification to local law enforcement; shipment waits seven days from the CLEO acknowledgement.
  8. Approval and delivery. ATF approves, the suppressor ships to Silencer Central’s licensed dealer in the buyer’s state, and then to the front door.

The company communicates by email and text throughout, and the customer portal shows progress at every stage. As a gunsmith, the detail I respect most is the call before submission — a complete, correctly filled application is what keeps an approval from stalling, and they check yours before ATF ever sees it.

Frequently asked questions

How quiet is the BANISH 9K? It reduces sound by 26 decibels, bringing 9mm down to 132 decibels at the ear — below the 140-decibel level where hearing damage begins. Pair it with subsonic ammunition and the supersonic crack disappears too.

Do I need a Nielsen device or booster? No. At 2.7 ounces, the 9K is light enough that the pistol cycles normally — it threads directly onto the barrel. BANISH notes that minor spring or ammunition adjustments may be needed on some pistols.

What calibers can it handle? .380 ACP, 5.7×28, 9mm, and .300 BLK. It carries full-auto ratings for 9mm supersonic and .300 BLK subsonic.

What thread pitches does it come in? 1/2×28 standard or 13.5×1 LH metric — the two common 9mm threaded-barrel patterns.

Can I take it apart to clean it? No — BANISH lists the 9K as not self-serviceable. The titanium body is sealed, which is one more reason the Day 50 prize package pairs it with Winchester’s encapsulated-base ammunition: cleaner-burning rounds keep a sealed suppressor happier longer.

Who can enter Day 50? U.S. residents aged 21 or older in suppressor-eligible states. Excluded: CA, DE, FL, HI, IL, MA, NJ, NY, RI, and DC.

What’s next

Additive manufacturing changed what a pistol suppressor can weigh, and the 9K — patent pending — is BANISH’s clearest statement of where that technology leads: smaller, lighter, printed as one piece. Expect the rest of the industry to chase that number for years. For now, 2.7 ounces of titanium sits at the center of the Day 50 prize package, waiting on a winner and a nine-day Form 4.
