BANISH History & the Power of 3D-Printed Suppressors

Traditional suppressors are often machined, welded, or cast a processes that limit internal complexity. 3D printing allows engineers to create intricate, optimized baffle geometries in a single monolithic piece that would be impossible (or prohibitively expensive) to produce any other way. This results in better sound performance, lighter weight, greater strength, and more compact designs.

BANISH first proved the technology with rifle suppressors like the Speed K series (titanium and Inconel versions). The lessons learned printing complex internal structures, unibody strength, and extreme weight savings, were directly applied to the 9K. The result is a suppressor that feels like it shouldn’t exist: tiny, feather-light, yet highly effective.

What this means for you: The rear of the suppressor is machined with the exact thread pitch and direction to match your barrel’s muzzle threading. You choose the version that matches your host firearm. There is no interchangeable mount as each suppressor is built for one specific thread pattern.

Why offer two options?
Different firearms and markets use different threading standards. In the United States, 1/2×28 is by far the most common thread pitch on aftermarket threaded barrels and many domestic pistols. It’s the “universal” choice for most American shooters.

The 13.5×1 LH (left-hand) metric thread is the factory or common standard on many European-designed pistols. Offering both versions lets users enjoy true direct-thread simplicity without adapters on whichever platform they own. Left-hand threading also has a functional benefit on many designs: the bullet’s right-hand rifling twist naturally tends to tighten a left-hand threaded mount over time (self-tightening effect). 

Examples of pistols that commonly use 13.5×1 LH threading:

• Many SIG Sauer models (P226, P229, P239, and certain P320/P365 variants or European-spec guns)
• Various other European 9mm handguns and aftermarket threaded barrels designed to that standard
• Some CZ, Walther, and other imported pistol platforms (or their threaded barrel options)

If your barrel is already threaded 1/2×28, get the 1/2×28 version of the 9K. If it’s 13.5×1 LH, get that version. Suppressors are dedicated to one thread pattern and cannot be swapped between the two without an adapter (which would add length and complexity, defeating the 9K’s purpose).
