78th Day of Silence: Why the BANISH VRMT 223K Ti Is the Most Packable .224 Suppressor Yet

Day 78 of Silencer Central’s 100 Days of Silence – win the BANISH VRMT 223K Ti suppressor.
The BANISH VRMT 223K Ti is the most compact and lightweight centerfire-capable suppressor in the BANISH lineup. At just 4.7 inches long and 8 ounces, this all-titanium suppressor is purpose-built as the ultimate truck/ranch-gun and varmint-hunting can.
Entry for The 78th Day of Silence is free and takes about two minutes. The window opens at 10:00 AM CT and closes at 10:00 PM CT on Friday, July 3, 2026, for U.S. residents 21 and older outside restricted states. All giveaways require a separate entry.

Meet the BANISH VRMT 223K Ti

Part of BANISH’s Varmint (VRMT) series, the 223K Ti was designed for shooters who want serious suppression without adding unnecessary length or weight to their rifle. Whether you’re keeping a suppressor on a ranch rifle, throwing one in the truck for coyote calls, or running a lightweight bolt gun for predator work, this suppressor delivers performance in an extremely packable package.
Its short overall length comes from using a direct-thread 1/2×28 mount and a compact 5-baffle design, while still remaining fully user-serviceable.

Ultra-Compact Titanium Construction

The BANISH VRMT 223K Ti is built entirely from titanium, making it one of the lightest suppressors in its class. At only 8 ounces, it adds almost no noticeable weight to a lightweight bolt-action rifle.
The short 4.7-inch length was achieved by using a direct-thread mount. This design choice keeps the overall package as small and maneuverable as possible which is exactly what you want on a truck/ranch gun or when walking fence lines.

Real-World Performance

The VRMT 223K Ti delivers an average of 25.9 dB of sound reduction. In testing on a 20-inch .223 bolt-action rifle, it achieved 129.5 dB at the shooter’s ear which can be hearing-safe for most incidental shots. It’s still recommend to have a second form of hearing protection like foam plugs if you’re doing an extended shooting session, since hearing damage is cumulative.
While it isn’t the quietest suppressor in the BANISH lineup, its combination of size, weight, and performance makes it one of the most practical options for everyday varmint and predator work.
Perfect for Truck/Ranch Guns and Varmint HuntingThis suppressor shines in situations where you need something you can actually keep with you:

  • Truck gun / ranch rifle — Small enough to live in the truck without taking up space
  • Predator and varmint hunting — Excellent for coyotes, prairie dogs, and similar work
  • Lightweight bolt-action rifles — Minimal impact on balance and handling
  • Rimfire and centerfire versatility — Works from .17 HMR all the way up to .22 Creedmoor
  • While not full auto rated it can definitely handle semi automatic fire rates

If you want a suppressor that stays on the rifle or in the truck without becoming a burden, the VRMT 223K Ti is hard to beat size and weight wise.

Easy Maintenance with User-Serviceable Design

Despite its small size, the VRMT 223K Ti remains fully user-serviceable. It features 5 removable and indexed baffles that can be taken apart for cleaning with the included Banish end cap removal tool.

This makes long-term maintenance simple and helps keep the suppressor performing at its best over years of use.

How It Compares

The VRMT 223K Ti is the compact “K” version of the VRMT 223 line. Compared to the longer VRMT 223 Ti (6.7 inches / 9.7 oz), the 223K Ti prioritizes minimal size and weight over maximum sound reduction. It also offers a very different approach than the BANISH 556.  While the 556 is built for hard-use and sustained fire on AR-15s, the VRMT 223K Ti is optimized for lightweight bolt guns and situations where packability matters most.

Why the BANISH VRMT 223K Ti Is a Standout Prize

The BANISH VRMT 223K Ti represents the ultimate in packable suppression. It’s small enough to always have with you, light enough that you’ll barely notice it on the rifle, and versatile enough to handle everything from rimfire plinking to serious predator hunting.
For anyone who wants a high-quality titanium suppressor that doesn’t dominate the profile of their rifle, this is one of the most practical options available.
