75th Day of Silence: the BANISH 9K the Ultimate Compact 9mm Suppressor

Day 75 of Silencer Central’s 100 Days of Silence — win the BANISH 9K suppressor (MSRP 799). BANISH 9K the ultra-compact, 2.7-ounce 3D-printed titanium 9mm suppressor that needs no piston.
Entry for The 75th Day of Silence opens at 10:00 AM CT and closes at 10:00 PM CT on June 30, 2026, for U.S. residents 21 and older outside restricted states. All giveaways require a separate entry.
The “Day of Silence” promotion has been heating up, and we’re celebrating the 75th day with an incredible prize: the BANISH 9K suppressor from Silencer Central’s BANISH line. This featherweight titanium wonder is one of the smallest, lightest, and most innovative 9mm suppressors on the market. Whether you’re a concealed-carry enthusiast, a range rat, or someone building the perfect home-defense or PCC setup, the 9K delivers serious performance in an impossibly small package.

Meet the BANISH 9K: Ins and Outs

The BANISH 9K is a true game-changer in pistol suppressor design. At just 4.1 inches long, 1.3 inches in diameter, and a shockingly light 2.7 ounces, it’s one of the most compact 9mm cans available. Because it’s so light, it does not require a piston, Nielsen device, or booster assembly. You simply thread it directly onto a compatible barrel and shoot. This eliminates extra length, weight, maintenance points, and potential failure points while keeping your pistol cycling reliably (minor spring or ammo tweaks may be needed on some hosts for perfect function).
Internally, the 9K features eight conical-style baffles with rows of U-shaped notches engineered to create maximum turbulence and slow expanding gases. The result is impressive sound reduction, down to approximately 132 dB at the shooter’s ear on standard 9mm loads (roughly 26–32 dB reduction depending on ammo and host). It’s rated hearing-safe for most users in many scenarios and performs exceptionally well wet or dry.
The suppressor is a true one-piece unibody made from 100% high-grade titanium. The exterior features a signature twist pattern that not only looks sharp but also provides excellent grip for hand-tightening and removal,  even when wet.
It’s full-auto rated for 9mm supersonic and .300 BLK subsonic ammunition, and it handles the full range of calibers below 9mm with ease.

BANISH History & the Power of 3D-Printed Suppressors

BANISH has been at the forefront of bringing advanced additive manufacturing (3D metal printing, specifically Direct Metal Laser Sintering or DMLS) to the suppressor world.
Traditional suppressors are often machined, welded, or cast a processes that limit internal complexity. 3D printing allows engineers to create intricate, optimized baffle geometries in a single monolithic piece that would be impossible (or prohibitively expensive) to produce any other way. This results in better sound performance, lighter weight, greater strength, and more compact designs.
BANISH first proved the technology with rifle suppressors like the Speed K series (titanium and Inconel versions). The lessons learned printing complex internal structures, unibody strength, and extreme weight savings, were directly applied to the 9K. The result is a suppressor that feels like it shouldn’t exist: tiny, feather-light, yet highly effective.

Compatible Firearms

The BANISH 9K shines on:

  • Threaded-barrel 9mm pistols (Glock, SIG, Smith & Wesson, CZ, etc.)
  • .380 pistols with threaded barrels
  • 5.7x28mm pistols (FN Five-seveN threaded variants, etc with appropriate threading or adapter)
  • PCCs and subguns (e.g., short-barreled .300 BLK or 9mm hosts)
  • Short .300 BLK barrels (with appropriate threading or adapter)

Its tiny size and negligible weight make it one of the few suppressors that can realistically be carried daily on a compact or subcompact pistol without destroying concealability or balance. Many holster makers now offer dedicated suppressor-ready options for it.

Mounting the BANISH 9K: The Two Direct-Thread Options Explained

The BANISH 9K is offered in two dedicated direct-thread versions:

  • 1/2×28 (standard American right-hand thread)
  • 13.5×1 LH (metric left-hand thread)

What this means for you: The rear of the suppressor is machined with the exact thread pitch and direction to match your barrel’s muzzle threading. You choose the version that matches your host firearm. There is no interchangeable mount as each suppressor is built for one specific thread pattern.

Why offer two options?
Different firearms and markets use different threading standards. In the United States, 1/2×28 is by far the most common thread pitch on aftermarket threaded barrels and many domestic pistols. It’s the “universal” choice for most American shooters.
The 13.5×1 LH (left-hand) metric thread is the factory or common standard on many European-designed pistols. Offering both versions lets users enjoy true direct-thread simplicity without adapters on whichever platform they own. Left-hand threading also has a functional benefit on many designs: the bullet’s right-hand rifling twist naturally tends to tighten a left-hand threaded mount over time (self-tightening effect).

Examples of pistols that commonly use 13.5×1 LH threading:

  • Many SIG Sauer models (P226, P229, P239, and certain P320/P365 variants or European-spec guns)
  • Various other European 9mm handguns and aftermarket threaded barrels designed to that standard
  • Some CZ, Walther, and other imported pistol platforms (or their threaded barrel options)

If your barrel is already threaded 1/2×28, get the 1/2×28 version of the 9K. If it’s 13.5×1 LH, get that version. Suppressors are dedicated to one thread pattern and cannot be swapped between the two without an adapter (which would add length and complexity, defeating the 9K’s purpose).

Why the BANISH 9K Is a Standout Prize

It’s not just small and light, it’s a masterclass in modern suppressor engineering. 3D-printed titanium unibody construction, eight optimized baffles, no booster required, multi-caliber capability, full-auto ratings where it counts, and excellent sound performance in a package you can actually carry every day.Whether you win it for your daily carry pistol, a home-defense gun, or a fun range toy, the BANISH 9K represents the cutting edge of what’s possible in suppressor design today.
